Intelligere scs is a simple sharing platform created as a tool for communication and synchronous collaboration. The system can be used as a simple chat between to users or as a platform for webcam streaming or to share documents. All interaction is done though a session which is owned by a user called a speaker. The speaker can stream video and use a microphone to interact with other uses in the session.
A user such as a guest can request to speak and the speaker can grant this permission by clicking on the icon of the user on the user list. The user will now be able to start streaming their webcam and use a microphone to speak. Permission can be withdrawal at any time by the speaker.
The speaker can start a presentation to other users in the session with files he uploaded. These can be other several types of files such as PDF, Power Point, Excel documents, etc.. During the presentation he can change page, zoom in and out of the page, highlight a part of the text and share mouse movements with the viewers. The viewers have no control over the same tools.
The speaker can also use a dashboard on which he can draw a picture while other users view the process. He can use all the simplest drawing tool of a common picture drawing program such as colour change, draw shapes, lines and arrows. The speaker can also use a remote desktop facility for which he can control another viewer’s desktop. Last the speaker can start desktop sharing with which the viewers will be able to see the speaker’s desktop. To use this feature the program requires the download and installation of an application. This, however, does not require special permission to install from an admin of the computer.
The application has a control panel that an admin can access. From the control panel the admin can view all the current and past sessions. Each session has a code, a title, a start and end time and date, the name of the speaker and his company. The time of the session usually displayed in green will be shown in red if the session is expired. The panel will show the number of people that are attending or have attended the session and the panel has a function to sent a notification by email to all those who are meant to attend the event. The notification can be sent to anonymous/guest users. The admin can add a new session or edit and existing one and a new session will be assigned a code automatically.
An admin can view all the user of the program on the control panel. He can view the name and username of each user, what type of user one is and if a certain user can create a new session or if he owns existing sessions. All user have an email address linked to their name and are listed under groups named company and an admin can add a new company. Like for a session the admin can add a new user or edit an existing one. The admin can disable and enable a users’ access to the application or withdrawal his privileges to create sessions.
